Our 2019 Grant Application will be available soon! Beginning January 29, visit our website to view and complete either our Safety Net, Community Impact, or both applications for your non-profit. Safety Net grants are for programs that provide “safety net” basic needs to the community it serves: food, shelter, utility assistance, etc. Community Impact grants are for programs looking to make measurable changes in the community. These are your after school programs, tutoring centers, drug abuse support, etc. The grants that the United Way of Southern West Virginia distributes to our community make tangible differences in many peoples’ lives. We are proud to support so many fantastic organizations that bring communities together to fight issues surrounding health, education, and financial stability in southern West Virginia.
In order to be eligible to apply for a grant from the United Way of Southern West Virginia, your organization must be a recognized 501(c)3 Non-profit organization. We require documentation to prove this. The organization must be within our service area of Raleigh, Fayette, Summers, Wyoming, Nicholas, Mercer, and McDowell Counties OR the city of Bluefield, VA.
The application will be open until March 31st, 2018. Be sure to take a look at it well in advance so that if any questions arise, you have time to figure them out! If you have any questions, please give our office a call at 304-253-2111.
